Haisafe® precast concrete N2 barrier

Haisafe has developed a lightweight prefab barrier for temporary situations (N2) that makes investing in vehicle guidance more cost-effective. The Haisafe® N2 barrier weighs 1,500 kg. As a result, the system is easy and quick to place and move, and to assemble and disassemble. The Haisafe® N2 barrier has been tested and approved by TASS international in compliance with NEN-EN 1317 and is CE approved.

Sustainable

The Haisafe® N2 barrier has been designed by Haitsma Beton primarily for temporary situations where road works are underway. The system is 6 metres long, 655 mm high and only 35 cm wide. The low weight of 1,500 kg means that fewer raw materials are needed and more elements can be delivered per load. Using the easily attached connections, the elements can be quickly positioned, assembled, disassembled and shifted, even after impact. Rubber strips on the underside prevent any damage to freshly laid asphalt and ensure good rainwater drainage. This also applies to the accompanying end elements (3.00 metres) that are also supplied by Haisafe.

Safe

The Haisafe® N2 barrier is an outstandingly safe vehicle guidance system that has a small operational width (W4) cm, along with a favourable acceleration severity index (ASI B). Haisafe has restricted the height of the element, with the result that road users no longer experience ‘obstacle fear’ and feel safer. In addition, each barrier has bevelled ends, so that a line of barriers can be put under tension optimally following assembly to achieve the required rigidity.
Reflectors can be attached easily, for example using a magnet. Purchasers can also have their logos embedded to advertise themselves and discourage theft.
